Privacy at a glance
We collect information needed for accounts, learning, bookings, payments, support, and security. We do not sell personal data or use children’s data for targeted ads. You may request access, correction, or deletion.
Scope
This Policy covers Markaz Iqraa accounts, live learning, bookings, library, messages, payments, and support. The Terms and Conditions also apply.
Information we collect
Information depends on your role and features used. It includes data you provide, service activity, and limited information from selected sign-in and payment providers.
- Name, email, phone, country, date of birth, and language.
- Profile, level, guardian details, teacher qualifications, and verification documents.
- Programs, bookings, attendance, assessments, homework, progress, messages, and uploads.
- Transaction amount, currency, status, and provider reference; never complete card numbers.
- Device, browser, sign-in, error, and account-protection logs.
How we use information
We use information to operate accounts, fulfil bookings, personalize learning, communicate, support users, secure the Platform, and meet accounting and legal duties.
- Verify identity and roles and review teacher applications.
- Schedule sessions and provide progress reports and available certificates.
- Process payments, refunds, wallet entries, receipts, and notifications.
- Prevent fraud, investigate reports, and improve reliability.
- Send marketing only where lawful and with opt-out choices.
Legal bases
Depending on your location, we rely on service contract performance, consent where required, legitimate interests such as security, and legal obligations.
Children and guardian consent
Where a user is a minor under applicable law or the Platform flow, we require guardian consent and provide suitable oversight. We do not sell children’s data or use it for targeted ads.
Guardians may contact us if they believe information was provided without required consent.
Live sessions and communication
Zoom Video SDK may process audio, video, and session metadata for live classes. The Platform does not currently record sessions; future recording requires clear notice and necessary consents.
Messages, homework, and uploads may be reviewed following a report, for security, or to support learning within authorized roles.
Providers and sharing
We share the minimum needed with hosting, communications, payment, email, notification, and support providers, and Apple or Google when chosen. Quran content may use sources such as Al Quran Cloud.
We may disclose data where legally required or to protect users and the Platform. We do not sell personal data.
Cookies
Necessary browser storage and cookies keep sessions, language, and security preferences. Aggregated performance measurements help improve the service. Disabling necessary storage may prevent sign-in or features.
Retention
We retain data while accounts are active or as needed for the service. After deletion, data is erased or de-identified while necessary payment, accounting, fraud, and dispute records remain as required by law.
Security
We use access controls, encryption in transit, verification, monitoring, and suitable backups. No electronic method is completely secure; protect passwords and verification codes.
Your rights and choices
Subject to law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or consent withdrawal. Identity verification and financial or legal record exceptions may apply.
Delete through Profile → Security → Delete account or contact support. Marketing can be disabled without blocking necessary service messages.
Policy updates
We may update this Policy as services or laws change. We will show the date, notify material changes, and obtain fresh consent where required.
Contact and complaints
Email [email protected] or use official WhatsApp to exercise privacy rights. Include the account email but never passwords or card details. You may contact your local data-protection authority where applicable.
